Who is Yoni Alkan?

Yoni Alkan (He/Him) is a sexual educator and a professional cuddler at Cuddlist.com and a Certified Cuddle Party Facilitator in San Francisco.
Dr. Yoni Alkan is a TEDxSoMa 2019 speaker and a global speaker on various Human Sexuality issues. He is the author of The Book of Cuddles, and the creator of www.elementsofsexuality.com; a playful, geeky, and educational site about the elements that contribute to our sexuality.

He's been writing about sex, sexuality and relationships since 2011. His expertise is in consent culture, bettering touch, alternative relationships, and improving our dating landscape.
When he doesn't speak about sex and relationships or cuddles with people, he teaches swing dancing, works in tech, or plays music.

Education
For years, Yoni was that one friend people felt comfortable approaching with their sex and relationship questions. Intrigued, he began to study interpersonal relationships.
​
He earned an MA in Conflict Resolution and Mediation, and then completed a Sexual Educator course with the Israeli Planned Parenthood in order to volunteer on a helpline for teens. Eventually Yoni decided to build further expertise in this area, and earned a professional Doctorate of Human Sexuality (DHS) at the Institute for Advanced Study of Human Sexuality in San Francisco.

After years of cuddling with people for fun, he decided to become a professional cuddler, by being a Certified Cuddlist Practitioner and a Certified Cuddle Party Facilitator.
